A Typical Day

Each sport session tends to follow a similar format – most with individual skills, group stations, contests of the day, and game PLAY.   All campers will receive a 2-4-1 Sports t-shirt and the ever-popular 2-4-1 Car Magnet. For a sample schedule of how the day works, click HERE!

All campers participate in 3 sports each day – choose from our 6 fun-filled options:

Grades 3 -9 choose from Basketball, Flag Football, Soccer, Baseball/Softball, Universal Sports, Volleyball.

Grades 1 and 2 choose Junior 2-4-1

Sport Descriptions:

Basketball, Soccer

These 2 Sports are our most traditional options and were offered at our first ever camp in Hartford, CT.  Whether you are a “veteran” of one of these sports, or you’re choosing to try it for the very first time, our instructors will make it a fun experience for you!  Experienced players have the opportunity to advance their skills and learn how they “crossover” to other sports, and beginners get the opportunity to see how prior athletic experience translate in to these great crossover sports.

Balance, Load, Fire, Extend.  These are the four core terms used in hitting whether playing baseball or softball and the ones athletes at camp will focus on amidst the fun filled games and drills.

Flag Football

junior photo 3coaching 3Flag Football is a sport choice that will fill up quickly. On the first day of the activity, the coaches split the teams up evenly and those in the activity participate in a fun-filled league with prizes being awarded for everything from most improved to best to defender to the individual exhibiting the most sportsmanship.

Universal Sports

is inspired by our work with the U.S.Physical Literacy Report and the recommendations coming out of Project Play.  This activity is a true sport-sampling offering in that the campers who choose it as one of their three activities will have a new and exciting sport from around the globe waiting for them to try!  Infused with free-play opportunities, Universal Sports is often a camp favorite!

Volleyball –

This co-ed offering will expose athletes to the fundamental skills of volleyball, and allow them to experience the joy of small-sided play as well as the rules of competitive high school and collegiate volleyball.

Times: 9:00 a.m to 3:30 p.m. (Before and aftercare is available).
