Junior 2-4-1

Camp is broken into 3 age group divisions (note that “Rising” for each of the following is what grade your child will be in Fall of 2023)

Division 1- Rising Kindergartners

Division 2 – Rising 1st and 2nd grade (Week 1 is currently full and we have started a first come/first served waitlist for this age group).

Division 3 – Rising 3rd through 9th grade (please know that this will be our last season with rising grade 9).

While the times and dates of Division 1 and Divison 2 are the same as our traditional camp, the programming itself is age-appropriately different. In keeping in line with the “2-4-1 Crossover Effect” – we see it as so important that these youngest athletes crossover to our traditional program having had the most positive of experiences. With that in mind – our staff focuses on infusing skill instruction into serious fun! We want their first introduction to multiple-sports to be one where they leave asking for more! Junior campers (Divison 1 and 2) don’t choose sports – we bring the sports to them!  (Campers in these Divisions do not need to bring any of their own equipment)
Division 1 and 2 campers have their own distinct directors and counselors.  The programs are run separetly from each other so please know we are not able to honor any sibling or friend requests outside of each other’s division.  We also can not make any exceptions regarding these grade requirements for divisions.
Please know that Division 1 campers must have participated in a full day school or camp experience (at least 6 hours) prior to attending 2-4-1 Sports.  We have a very active curriculum and it’s our experience that those who have not had a full day school or camp experience get overwhelmed quickly.  We need  for parents to document during the application process where your child has had a prior full day experience.  Campers of this age must of course be potty trained.

Before/After Care

Before and After Care is available for those families that may need to drop their camper(s) off early or pick them up late in order for them to be able to attend camp.

All campers will be supervised by a member of the 2-4-1 Staff and have the opportunity for continued play.  Pick up and drop off locations are same as regular drop off and pick up.

Before care: 7:30-9:00 ($50 for the week)

After care: 3:00-4:30 ($50 for the week)

Before and After care: ($90 for the week)

Can add either/both during the registration process.

If choosing to do single days (not committing to the full week), then each segment is $15.00 and can be purchased/funded through your campers canteen account.

Lunch/Canteen

Campers have the option to bring lunch or to purchase lunch (usually 2 slices of pizza, a sport drink and a snack).  You can purchase lunch for the week during registration or you can purchase as many individucal days as you choose once camp begins.

Campers also love attending our canteen – items include an assortment of drinks, snacks and treats.  You have the option to prefund your canteeen account at registration or fund/replenish throughout the week at camp.

We suggest talking to your child about limits at the canteen as we use a debit/credit system.

IMPORTANT

Please note that Rec Park at Top Pavilion is a completly outdoor venue (except for indoor restrooms).  While there is a covered area where we can shelter from a sudden downpour of rain, it is not a safe place to shelter from lightning.  If the forecast calls for any chance of thunder and lightning, we will announce by 6:30 am that morning if camp will be moved to Horace Porter School for the day.
