You asked for it! Our inaugural summer was so successful that we are busy planning for two fun-filled weeks in the summer of 2021!
Please stay tuned for updates as we keep in touch with the city of New Westminster and respond to any COVID related protocols. While we are confident that we will have camp this summer, please check back periodically for updates and details!

About Camp
Following the principles of the American Development Model (ADM) and Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD), 2-4-1 is the premier Sport Sampling program in the North America focused on fostering Physical Literacy in young athletes - living their tagline of "Life's 2 Short 4 Just 1 Sport"

Geoff Lenahan - Camp Director

Co-Director: Steve Boyle
is a former Division 1 basketball player (Manhattan College). In NYC and Seattle, WA, he coached soccer, basketball, track and field and x-country. In Seattle, he founded Boyle’s Cougar Hoop Camp for Girls, the largest all-girls camp in the state of Washington at the time. Steve was aschool counselor in West Hartford for 20 years where he has coached Varsity basketball, track and field, freshman and JV soccer. Steve currently is the Principal at Crossover Consulting Group where his major project is helping to develop the Whittle School & Studios Physical Literacy Development model on their campuses in Washington DC, Brooklyn, NY, Shenzhen and Suzhou, China.
Steve is also the Advisory Board Chair at the National Association of Physical Literacy and is on the board of The Miracle League of Connecticut. A life long lover of sport, Steve still regularly plays basketball, tennis or soccer and loves to run and spin!
Co-Director: Kerry Boyle
is a former Division 1 lacrosse and field hockey player (Bucknell University). She has coached basketball, lacrosse and tennis in Baltimore, NYC and Seattle, WA. Kerry recently left a 30 year career in teaching and athletic administration. After starting as a teacher in Maryland and New York City, Kerry served as an Athletic Director in Seattle for 5 years and at the Watkinson School in Hartford, CT where she also coached Varsity lacrosse for 22 years. An active member in Connecticut politics, Kerry now devotes her time to growing 2-4-1 Sports internationally with a focus on bringing physical literacy and sport sampling to underserved populations. Kerry models the "Active for Life" philosophy as she can be seen daily in some form of vigorous exercise or fun filled play!


Sport Director: Cav Whitely
Cav has been coaching professionally in British Columbia for the past 15 years at both the collegiate and national levels of sport. As a former university athlete (UBC) who has represented his country at numerous events, he has recently transitioned into coach development and facilitation. A three time national champion coach with Team BC (2013-2015), he was also named National Coach of the year by Baseball Canada in 2018. A college instructor with a Master's degree from UBC in Human Kinetics specializing in sport psychology, Cav is looking forward to working within the multi-sport model to help provide a proper foundation for younger athletes in the community to continue their development.

Sport Director: Chad Oatway
Chad grew up being active and playing multiple high school sports. He went on to play CIS football at the University of British Columbia. Chad worked in sport camps, athletic training and was a strength & conditioning coach before becoming a high school teacher. Chad has worked teaching various subjects while specializing in Physical & Health Education and Leadership, which were the focus of his Master of Education degree. Chad has coached various sports and has coached four provincial championships teams in both football and wrestling. Chad’s passion for sport, health and physical literacy is allowing him to work on teacher professional development training, sit on the executive for Physical & Health Education BC, and his local Physical Literacy New West Committee. Personally, Chad loves being active with his family in the great outdoors, coaching his children, and being involved in athletics and sport.

Sport Director: Sandra Lenahan
Sandra’s childhood epitomized the free play lifestyle that now being researched as highly important for healthy youth development. The local park near her home in New Westminster was the gathering spot for many kids who spent many hours playing whatever was thought of that day. In high school she was a top player on both her basketball and volleyball teams, eventually moving on to play two years of college basketball.
She has coached youth from 4-18 in basketball and soccer in both club and school settings over the last decade. Recently, Sandra has spent 4 years owning and operating a daycare. Between the daycare and being a mother of 4 young kids, she works tirelessly to instill the joy of movement and play in this generation of kids that helped shape her own youth.

Sport Director: Glen Mulcahy
Glen grew up playing multiple sports across Canada and played on provincial winning teams in
Hockey, Football and Rugby. He is a graduate and now a mentor of the University of British
Columbia’s School of Kinesiology. Soon after he graduated from UBC he started coaching, and
he has now coached men, women, boys and girls in slo-pitch, hockey, baseball, softball, rugby and ball hockey for over 2 decades.
Glen is also the founder and CEO of Paradigm Sports and Executive Director of For the Love of the Game, two organizations with the key goal of educating coaches, parents, and sport organizations of current trends, research, and best practices to make sure youth sport is a wholly positive experience for kids. His infamous quote “Kids play sports because they’re fun, they quit when they’re not. It’s not rocket science” shows his ability to simplify the issue and speak to and engage people in a way that makes them want to understand and be better for the kids they serve.

Sport Director: Jenn Oatway
Jenn grew up playing & competing in multiple sports throughout her youth. Jenn went on to play Field Hockey for the University of British Columbia (UBC) where she won 3 CIS National Championships. While studying and playing Field Hockey, Jenn completed her degrees in Human Kinetics & Education (B.H.K. & B.Ed) with a specialization in Physical Education and Mathematics. Jenn has also completed a Graduate Diploma in Exploring Physical Health Education from Simon Fraser University (SFU). Jenn competed in Ringette at a high level growing up and played in the National Ringette League (NRL) after graduating from UBC. Jenn currently coaches Basketball, Field Hockey and Soccer and is an Athletic Director in the secondary school system who is heavily involved in organizing high school sport. Personally, Jenn loves being outside and working with her children in developing a wide range of physical movement skills.

Sport Director: Simon Quinto
Simon enjoyed his childhood playing many different sports both in a competitive and recreational environment. Simon went on to compete in collegiate rugby at Douglas College and then football at UBC, winning a CIAU National Championship in 1997. While at UBC, he coached the women’s rugby team and organized and coached in the Kinetic Cup Women’s Football jamboree fundraising for the Heart and Stroke Foundation. He eventually completed his degrees in Human Kinetics & Education, specializing in Physical Education and Linguistics. Simon also completed a Post Degree Diploma in Physical and Health Education as well as a Masters Program of Arts in Physical Education. Simon coached rugby at the club level winning 2 Provincial Championships in Men’s Rugby. Simon currently teaches PE and coaches high school rugby, is an executive member of the BC Girls Rugby Association and currently the Athletic Director at Gleneagle Secondary. On his spare time, he enjoys mountain biking, playing masters rugby, and spending time playing an array of movement activities with his family.
